Emergency power units

The armed forces of the Russian Federation do not stop deliberately destroying Ukrainian civilian infrastructure. Pro Ukraïna supplies generators that ensure the power supply of critical infrastructure.

Background

Contrary to all assertions on the part of the Russian Federation, it is obvious that Ukrainian civilian infrastructure, which is of no military value, is also being deliberately destroyed. This is done with the aim of demoralising the civilian population and turning it against the government. It is true that Ukraine is doing its best to repair everything as quickly as possible. At the moment, we notice that the electricity supply is working better again. Nevertheless, it is expected that power cuts lasting for hours can be expected again in winter.

Last winter, thousands of generators were delivered to Ukraine by private individuals and organisations. However, it soon became apparent that with rising fuel costs and the improving situation, even speculators were left sitting on their generators.

Pro Ukraïna reacted quickly to the new situation...

Goal

Pro Ukraïna joins the numerous efforts to ensure that nothing is disposed of which is urgently needed in Ukraine.

A needs assessment showed that critical infrastructure such as hospitals was still based on infrastructure from Soviet times and in some cases did not even have emergency generators to begin with. The regional administration of the Zakarpattya region in Uzhgorod asked Pro Ukraïna for support.

With the delivery of such aggregates, the operation of entire hospital complexes is made possible. These are public institutions that are also supplied with the necessary fuel reserves.

Implementation

An organisation that does not wish to be named is renewing its emergency power generators at various locations in Europe and has transferred one of these older but well-maintained machines to us.

According to the basic philosophy of Pro Ukraïna (cf. homepage), a network ensures that the goods are tracked until they reach their destination.

With the delivery of this 900kVA genset with a weight of 14.5 tons, Pro Ukraïna realised a cross-border project for the first time without the machine first being temporarily stored in Hungary and then brought across the border to Ukraine by a partner. The control from A - Z was with Pro Ukraïna.

The transport was accompanied from origin to destination. In the Regional Children's Hospital in the city of Mukachevo, there are indeed two smaller generators, each of which can supply one critical floor in two different buildings with electricity. The rest of the hospital simply goes dark in the event of a power failure.

With this powerful emergency generator, it will be possible to supply the entire compound with electricity.

The helpless children, overtired doctors and nurses who have not left the country, who are doing their duty day and night, the desperate mothers and all the sincere people in this country deserve all the support we can give them - no matter what the propaganda says.
